NorCal weather update: A review of June temperatures, what to expect in July
WARM TEMPERATURES THROUGHOUT THIS MONTH, AND WE’VE HAD ABOVE AVERAGE TEMPERATURES FOR JUNE. WHEN IT DOES COME TO HEAT. DIRK HAS A LOOK NOW AT WHAT WE ACTUALLY HAVE SEEN IN JUNE AND WHAT WE MIGHT BE SEEING IN JULY. YEAH, WE’RE GOING TO TAKE A PEEK INTO JULY AND YEAH, WHATEVER WE HAD IN JUNE, MORE THAN LIKELY IT’S GOING TO BE WARMER IN JULY. TRADITIONALLY, JULY IS A MUCH WARMER MONTH IN THE MONTH OF JUNE, BUT WE’VE HAD A PRETTY WARM MONTH IN THE MONTH OF JUNE SO FAR. AGAIN, THE MONTH’S NOT DONE YET, BUT WE’RE GOT A PRETTY GOOD IDEA OF HOW THINGS ARE GOING HERE. AVERAGE HIGH TEMPERATURE IN THE MONTH OF JUNE IS 89 DEGREES. THIS MONTH. THIS YEAR FOR THIS MONTH, WE’VE AVERAGED 93.4. THAT’S QUITE A BIT ABOVE AVERAGE. OUR MORNING LOWS AVERAGE 58.7. AND WE’VE BEEN AVERAGING 60.7. SO NOT AS BIG OF A DIFFERENCE. BUT STILL WE HAVE BEEN ABOVE AVERAGE IN OUR MORNING TEMPERATURES AS WELL AS THOSE DAYTIME HIGHS AND RAIN. WE’RE NOT REALLY WE DON’T USUALLY EXPECT A LOT OF RAIN IN THE MONTH OF JUNE, AND WE DIDN’T GET ANY MEASURABLE RAIN IN THE MONTH OF JUNE. NOW JULY, THIS IS WHERE WE TURN THINGS UP AS FAR AS OUR HIGH TEMPERATURES. WE START OUT THE MONTH OF JULY WITH AN AVERAGE OF 93, AND END UP AT THE END OF THE MONTH WITH AN AVERAGE OF 95 DEGREES. THAT’S THE AVERAGE TEMPERATURE. MORNING LOWS. WE AVERAGE 61 IN THE BEGINNING OF THE MONTH, 62 AT THE END OF THE MONTH. SO NOT A BIG DIFFERENCE IN TEMPERATURES FOR THE LOWS AND THEN RAINFALL AGAIN. WE REALLY IF WE DO GET RAIN, USUALLY IT’S RECORD RAINFALL. BUT WE DID GET ONE DAY IN THE MONTH OF JULY WHERE WE HAD A RECORD OF 0.86IN RECORD HIGH TEMPERATURE, 114 AND A RECORD LOW OF 47 DEGREES. SO THAT’S WHAT WE CAN EXPECT. GIVES US AN IDEA
